Hi there everyone!
I'm making a difference by fundraising for a cause that's close to our hearts. i served with the SES in Mackay, QLD for 10 years, i made life long friends and i would like to think i made a difference in my community.
And if i every return to SES which is a possibility i would love too serve my Community and the city of Mackay once again.
So I'll be with too organization that i hold close to my heart, the Mackay RSL and the Mackay SES.

Queensland State Emergency Service (SES)
The Queensland State Emergency Service (SES) is built on the good will of thousands of members. They are: [ul][li]People helping People[/li] [li]Mates helping Mates[/li] [li]Neighbours helping Neighbours. [/li] [/ul] The Queensland SES is a “not-for-profit organisation” that shares its highly recognised name with the States and Territory SES organisations throughout Australia. With approximately 5,100 active and unpaid members, the Queensland SES performs a diverse range of functions to respond to local, State and National disasters and emergencies. SES assistance is provided for non-life-threatening emergency situations during floods, storms or other similar events. The Queensland SES also support other agencies such as Queensland Police Service and Queensland Fire and Rescue Service to perform additional functions during different types of disasters and emergencies such as: [ul][li]Vertical Rescue[/li] [li]Flood Boat Rescue[/li] [li]Road Crash Rescue[/li] [li]Urban, Rural and Evacuation Searches[/li] [li]Emergency Traffic Management[/li] [li]Urban Search and Rescue[/li] [li]Agency Support[/li] [li]Incident Management[/li] [li]Community Education[/li] [/ul] The SES is designed to empower people to help themselves and others in their community in times of emergency and disaster.
